Fast Friends

On my birthday my friend came over with her dumbo rat to meet my own.* They were fast friends!! Here is a pic of them. They are SO cute when they're together....since Willow(left) is 6 months old(& Onyx is 1 month) and has more...experience..with humans(I guess,)- it seemed like she showed Onyx(right) how to behave and such. By the end of the day Onyx-the usually frisky restless one- was cuddling in my lap...not unlike Willow in my friend's lap(: Talk about monkey-see-monkey-do, right? That night was the best though...
Willow discovered she could break out of her travel cage(a bird cage) by lifting up the bars- so we had to put her cage up against Onyx's so she couldn't escape. It was HILARIOUS- her face of surprise was classic. She kept lifting and shutting it over and over and over...XD

However then she kept stealing Onyx's blanket by grabbing it with her teeth and pulling it through her cage....bahaha!
Hopefully Onyx doesnt pick up those traits too. X3

*We got Onyx a few days before my birthday--she is basically my "birthday gift" even though I bought her...? A month old...white underside with black on the top side..white diamond on her head...she's really adventurous. (:

I AM SUCH A GEEK.

I admit it. I LOVE MANGA. It's like an addiction...(ha. Edward-ish much?)
I swore that I would never read it. But someone made me try it....and it's actually pretty amazing!!!
That doesn't mean I like that cat stuff. Noo. Just...other things.
Like ULTRA MANIAC!!! :D

Just an Observation.

Today in church, my teacher gave each of us a different colored marker and told us to write on the board what we looked for in a friend.
It was interesting to see what people wrote down, what they thought, and how they compared to one another. Most of them were things like: kind, thoughtful, trustworthy, loyal- the typical ordinary things you would look for in someone. But then there were others, like: creative, funny, confident, nonjudgmental; etc. I just thought it was interesting how it seems that many people- almost everyone, look for a good, fun-loving, optimistic friend. Yet, I know so many people(even including me)- who look for the good people and still end up with the negatives- the backstabbers- and so on. Do we find them...intriguing? fascinating? Or is it just that we think, deep down, that we aren't worth someone better than them?
Just an observation.

Heading Home.

I am so excited to be heading home.
We have been on the road for a MONTH! (Special thanks to EVERYONE that we stayed with!)
Currently we are in Las Vegas...(vivaaa...loss wages!) So anyway. My dad found this really...well...ghetto- hotel on Priceline, so here we are and this is the sign outside of the building.

Nice, right? Sure makes me feel safe. (I blacked out the name for privacy.)
Then there's the fact that in order to receive any air conditioning or lights in the hotel room, you have to put your key into this little slot in the wall(yay).
Oh well. We leave tomorrow morning(:

Top 4 Things I miss about Home:
1. My shower. I can use my OWN shampoo and conditioner(and can also use as much as I want!), and they, unlike the hotel supplies, don't make my hair feel all...rubbery; I guess.(:
2. My friends. I haven't seen them in a month; enough said.
3. My mini-blowdryer. We only brought the big one...and it is HEAVY. My arms get tired after the first minute of using it(:
4. My bed. I have been sleeping on couches, floors, guest beds...once again, I think I have said enough.

Anyhoo- its late, and we are probably going to be on the road as soon as possible tomorrow, so I need to check out. But hopefully this post will be enough. I probably won't make another post for a while. I'm going to be busy doing chores around the house, practicing piano, catching up with my friends, and getting back to my regular routine. (:

I see the world in black and white.

This is the new theme of my blog.
I really love black and white. To most people, it represents things like...sorrow. But you know what black and white means to me? Memories. Happiness. In most photos of people laughing- genuinely laughing, it's colored black and white. People walking on the beach, hand in hand? Black and white. Flowers? Black and white.
I see the world in black and white.

you know, those people who only pretend to be your friend....make promises and break them...etc., etc.
don't you hate them? because i know that i sure do. they can all go the edge of the world, fall off, and die.
