Random Thought - 8/25

Haven't posted a 'Random Thought' in a while- so I thought I would.
This week...I don't have anything particularly deep or anything, so I am just going to state a few *random* things.
1. When you are angry, the blood rushes to your head, therefore making your eye color go darker for the time being.
2. Since I forgot to put on sunblock...I now have freckles across the cheeks from swimming in PE. NOOO!
3. I found a cockroach in my shorts after PE yesterday. *cringes*
4. Beautiful Creatures is actually a really amazing book.
5. Ice-blocking is difficult...and scary. Fun, though.
6. My English teacher really loves the Hunger Games series.
7. Found out the really immature guy(that I complained about) that used to sit in front of me in Math is actually related to a girl in my grade...oops.
8. Playlist.com SUCKS. I add a song- they mess it up and give me a retarded version of it. ...Sorry for the stupid songs on there....

And that's about it.
I'm gunna wrap it up now.

Anyway, so summer is almost over. School is beginning...and I'm pretty psyched. The thing that sucks? I think I have a guy P.E. teacher. Thanks, you....people...who...set up our schedules. Whatever they call you.

Yesterday, I went camping with my family! Whoopee! It was a blast, you know, besides the point that we almost died...
yeah, you read that right.
Basically, it rained. Scary, right?
No, seriously. It rained. HARD. Started before we fell asleep, stopped, and started again the morning. Long story short, we had to get up and get out of there at 6 am unless we wanted to be stranded in a flash flood. So, first we made a trip out of there to my great aunt's, and then a couple of adults went back for our things while I crashed on the couch from exhaustion. I mean, seriously. I thought we were going to die from a) flood b) starvation c) car crash on the wet roads(where SOME people were going 50 mph.) Obviously I would be a little stressed and tired- especially only getting six hours of sleep.

Hold, please.

Anyway, back to what I was saying.


We are now all safe and sound here, and I'm enjoying spending time with my family. Plus, out of my boredom, I got to practice my drawing skills... which are....not really progressing. But you know. Whatever.
But I got a chance to update! Which is always good.
Well, I think that's bout it.

Fast Friends

On my birthday my friend came over with her dumbo rat to meet my own.* They were fast friends!! Here is a pic of them. They are SO cute when they're together....since Willow(left) is 6 months old(& Onyx is 1 month) and has more...experience..with humans(I guess,)- it seemed like she showed Onyx(right) how to behave and such. By the end of the day Onyx-the usually frisky restless one- was cuddling in my lap...not unlike Willow in my friend's lap(: Talk about monkey-see-monkey-do, right? That night was the best though...
Willow discovered she could break out of her travel cage(a bird cage) by lifting up the bars- so we had to put her cage up against Onyx's so she couldn't escape. It was HILARIOUS- her face of surprise was classic. She kept lifting and shutting it over and over and over...XD

However then she kept stealing Onyx's blanket by grabbing it with her teeth and pulling it through her cage....bahaha!
Hopefully Onyx doesnt pick up those traits too. X3

*We got Onyx a few days before my birthday--she is basically my "birthday gift" even though I bought her...? A month old...white underside with black on the top side..white diamond on her head...she's really adventurous. (:

I AM SUCH A GEEK.

I admit it. I LOVE MANGA. It's like an addiction...(ha. Edward-ish much?)
I swore that I would never read it. But someone made me try it....and it's actually pretty amazing!!!
That doesn't mean I like that cat stuff. Noo. Just...other things.
Like ULTRA MANIAC!!! :D

Just an Observation.

Today in church, my teacher gave each of us a different colored marker and told us to write on the board what we looked for in a friend.
It was interesting to see what people wrote down, what they thought, and how they compared to one another. Most of them were things like: kind, thoughtful, trustworthy, loyal- the typical ordinary things you would look for in someone. But then there were others, like: creative, funny, confident, nonjudgmental; etc. I just thought it was interesting how it seems that many people- almost everyone, look for a good, fun-loving, optimistic friend. Yet, I know so many people(even including me)- who look for the good people and still end up with the negatives- the backstabbers- and so on. Do we find them...intriguing? fascinating? Or is it just that we think, deep down, that we aren't worth someone better than them?
Just an observation.
